Justina Peck - Senior Spotlight

Full name: Justina Marie Peck

What are your plans after high school?

I plan to go to college, graduate with bachelor's degree, and become a medical laboratory scientist.

What was the biggest change for you between your freshman and senior?
I am more independent and outgoing. I focus on the important things rather than drama. I am a free spirit, and I am ok not having my whole life planned out. I am focused more on being happy.

What class challenged me the most and why?
Math because I struggled the most in math. I enjoyed it the most, though, because it was one of those classes where when you actually understood something and got the answer right, the feeling of accomplishment made you feel great!

What person do you look up to the most and why?
I look up to my mom because she fulfills all the cliche reasons and more! She is my closest and most trusted friend. She stands up for me no matter what and challenges me to be the best I can be. No matter what, I know she has my back, and I hope one day I will be just like her.

What will you miss the most about Forreston?
I will miss the small school and knowing everyone. I will miss cheering with my best friend Whitney Brace and all of our inside jokes! I will miss being a part of the Redbird Regiment. I will miss having a schedule that has been basically the same thing for the past 12 years. I will miss Forreston, but I am looking forward to a change and spreading my wings and flying.

What advice will I give to future freshmen?
These 4 years will come and go so fast. Forget the drama; it will not matter in a week. Be kind to everyone and never stoop to anyone's level. Find a group of friends where you are close and where you have each others’ backs. Enjoy and participate in all the little things. Do not wish for it to go faster because the years fly by.
