Jaedyn Rager - Senior Spotlight

Full Name:  Jaedyn Rager

1.  What are your plans after high school (college, work force, future profession)?
I want to go to college so that I can work in education. I'm going to look into Kishwaukee College because I heard they work a lot with hands on experiences. I want to become a kindergarten teacher.

2.  What was the biggest change for you between your freshman and senior year?
I've learned who I am today, and I know my strengths and weaknesses.  I also leaned to not care what people think about you. Be who you are. Don't let your life revolve around people making fun of you or being scared of what people think of you. Be yourself. Ryan Dillavou stresses that to me all the time. This is very important because you are much more happier doing what you love when it isn't for fashion and fame.

3.  Which class challenged you the most and why?
Mr. Diduch's class. He makes you think outside the box.

4.  What person do you look up to the most and why?
I look up to my sister.  She is a big part of my life. If I need something I know I can always count on her to be there for me. I also look up to my Whiteside teacher. She has taught me major life lessons and to become a better parent and teacher.

5.  What will you miss most about Forreston High School?
I will miss cheer!! I found something that I am decently good at. I'm not book smart, can't play volleyball, basketball, or softball, but I can do cheer! Cheer as brought me out of my comfort zone. I have become more confident and somewhat independent. I will also miss Mrs. Magarity. She is my absolute favorite teacher at Forreston High School. She always makes class fun and will joke around with you! My Whiteside teacher makes school fun and easy to comprehend.

6.  What advice would you give incoming freshmen?
GET INVOLVED!!! I regret not doing more things in high school! Cheer is what kept me involved, but I regret not doing more! Another thing is to not care what people think about you!
