Classroom Spotlight for Week of March 13th - Ms. Vinnedge, 5th Grade, FGS
Welcome to the world of Harry Potter! The 5th graders have enjoyed our most recent unit: reading and learning with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling. They completed many projects to go with this novel, including research, non-fiction writing, creative writing, character development, plot summaries, sequencing, vocabulary development, speaking and listening, running their own discussions, and much more! Our students loved diving into the world of Harry Potter! They had a blast being sorted into houses, receiving their own acceptance letters to Hogwarts, finding their tickets for the Hogwarts Express, making their own wands, and researching and creating their own owls.
We have learned so much in 5th grade reading this year working on being prepared for the junior high world. We have a great group of students this year, and I can't believe our year is almost over!
