The Forrestville Valley Youth Network is again holding a virtual auction. The online event will be available on 32auctions.com/FVVYN2025 from September 22nd thru October 2nd. The virtual auction has been very successful. It allows us to give financial support for the mentoring program for students in second through eighth grade within the Forrestville Valley School District. The mentoring program matches volunteers with students that may need help academically, emotionally, or both. The pairs meet once a week to work on schoolwork, play games, or just talk. The goal is to help the kids stay in school and out of trouble in high school, and beyond. Along with the financial support, we established a $1000 scholarship that is awarded annually to a graduating high school senior. The individual must have been part of the mentoring program as a grade school student and must have plans to further their education.
And finally, the proceeds also cover our nonprofit insurance requirements. We hope you consider donating to this worthwhile event. Your donation, whether monetary or merchandise will help the mentoring program succeed. Checks can be made payable to FVVYN. Any donation is greatly appreciated, and we will provide a tax-deductible receipt for your records.
