Welcome to first grade! I earned my Bachelor's degree through Northern Illinois University. My Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction was earned through National Louis University. I have been teaching in the Forrestville Valley School District for 30 years. I had the privilege of teaching 26 of my years in German Valley Grade School and the past 4 years at Forreston Grade School. I have taught all of my years in first grade!
I have been married for 35 years. Rusty and I have two wonderful daughters, Cassidy and Lexie. Our oldest daughter, Dr. Cassidy Joy-Saini is a pharmicist at CVS. She and her husband, Rustam, live south of Rockford, Illinois with their dog Dixie. Our youngest daughter, Lexie is attending Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa, getting her Master's degree in Social Work. She lives in Dubuque with her hedgehog Huxley. Rusty and I are "empty nesters", other than our cocker spaniel that lives at home with us.
