Forrestville Valley School District is excited to announce the upcoming construction of a new bus garage following a special meeting of the Board of Education on September 4, 2025. This project will be constructed on the adjacent property generously donated by Eileen and the late Keith ‘Andy’ Anderson. Stenstrom Construction Group was awarded the low bid and construction is scheduled to begin later this fall, with an estimated completion of summer 2026.
The project aligns with the District's strategic objectives of maintaining excellent facilities and providing adequate resources for its students and staff. Future bus garage will be funded by a combination of current district funds and reimbursement from the state of Illinois, which will minimize the impact on taxpayers and maintain the district's future budget structure.
