IPA Leadership Award Winners
Forreston Grade School 5th Grade Students Charlotte Gallagher and Jackson Doyens were named the winners of the IPA’s Leadership Award. Charlotte is the daughter of Shaun and Anne Gallagher of German Valley and Jackson is the son of Chris and Tabitha Doyens of Leaf River.
Forreston Junior Senior High School Eighth Grade Students Liam Setterstrom and Brennan Byers along with Seniors Micah Nelson and Jenna Greenfield were also named winners of the Illinois Principals Association’s Leadership Award. Liam is the son of Carl and Danelle Setterstrom of Ridott and Brennan is the son of Natalie Althoff and Matt Byers of Forreston. Micah is the son of Shawn and Jennifer Nelson of Forreston and Jenna is the daughter of Daryl and Erika Greenfield of Harper.
Students were selected by the faculty of Forreston Grade School and Forreston Jr/Sr High School for displaying leadership, character, and achievement daily. Winners attended a brunch at the Dixon Elks Club sponsored by the Northwest Illinois Principals Association. Mr Thomas Mahoney Superintendent of Oregon School District was the keynote speaker.
