In third grade, we're learning how authors use text features to help us understand informational texts. Our students are using their reading kit to identify the text features as we read.

6th graders were able to further their research on plant vs. animal cells by using microscopes. They swabbed the inside of their cheeks to observe animal cells and used a piece of onion to observe plant cells.










Our preschoolers are loving this weather at recess!




The golf team placed 3rd out of 22 teams at the Kewanee Boiler Invitational on Saturday. Individually, Kaden Brown was 4th and Darin Greenfield was 11th.

First grade learned about the importance of Patriot Day. They worked together to create a poster.

Third grade is enjoying some partner reading of their story of the week!



7th grade is learning about independent and dependent variables in science class this week. They used their knowledge of variables when creating and racing their "mint racers".

Congratulations to Charlotte Gallagher (7th Grade) on her Judges Choice Award at the John Deere Art Show this past weekend! Her Balloon Drawing is a sixth grade project focused on the famous artist Jeff Koons.

8th graders brought Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math to ELA. They read "Up the Slide" by Jack London and engineered devices to help main character, Clay, go up the slide.










Third graders are ready for recess!

Spanish 2 students were on fire today, practicing their speaking and listening skills by describing and drawing monsters focusing on the parts of the body.

Marketing class created images bases on different companies as we learned about branding. Can you name some of the companies or brands you see?

First grade is learning how to use number bonds.






Our 5th graders are learning all about molecules as we study matter in science. Today we researched different molecular structures and made them using gumdrops and toothpicks! We also identified which elements were in each compound and how many atoms of each element were present.










Fourth grade Cardinals displaying their football skills in our "Pigskin Sandwich" relay. Handoff skills, complete with no fumbles.
