Today, the 4th graders were able to go down to the 1st grade classrooms and meet their buddies, read them a book, and get to know them better. Everyone had such a great time!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Kindergarten made leprechaun traps and even went on a scavenger hunt looking for a pot of gold. We didn't end up catching a leprechaun, but we did get fun surprises left for us on our desks!

Fourth grade book clubs wrapped up this past week, and these students did a great job in their discussion groups! We were lucky enough to have former 4th grade teacher Mr. Rod Genandt come back for the second year, and lead one of the groups for the past 5 weeks. The kids had so much fun, and learned so much!

We love Book Clubs! Fifth graders love reading and discussing new books with classmates. Our most recent set of book clubs focused on poetry. We learned a lot about elements of poetry, figurative language, theme, and more during our poetry books clubs!

On Friday March 13th, 10 band students and 11 choir students were selected to participate in the NUIC Honor Band and Choir Festival held at Pearl City High School. Students rehearsed all day with a collegiate director along with students from 8 other participating schools. They then put on a wonderful concert that evening. Great job to all who attended!

Eighth graders have been busy challenging their creativity, building strong research habits, and practicing their presentation skills about a topic they have passion learning more about!

Forreston School District will be closed Monday, March 16, 2026 - due to the weather. No school or after School activities.

What a fun night of family engagement! Thanks to all who were able to make to GVGS for our spring family activities!

Mrs. Meyer's kindergarten enjoyed making rainbows to go along with their rainbow poems in preparation for St. Patrick's Day next week!
