FJSHS welcomed our veterans this morning for the annual Veterans Day breakfast! Students ranging from 6th grade to Juniors addressed the veterans giving them thanks, a slideshow recognizing our veterans from the community, and the band playing the songs of each branch of our armed forces. Great job by our social studies department and our students for showing the respect these veterans very much deserve. On behalf of FJSHS, thank you to all who have served and helped keep this great country safe.

Today our FFA test plot committee was OUTSTANDING in their Field! Literally! Today was our test plot harvest day. Students learned about harvesting, collecting data and running our plot like a true science experiment. Thank you to everyone involved! Come to the plot dinner on Monday, November 17, 2025 for full test results!

Kindergarten has been learning about our five senses this week! In Miss Hicks' class we used every sense:
- Touch 🤲
- Taste 👅
- Smell👃
- Hear👂
- See 👀
We used our senses to investigate a pickle🥒!
Some friends already knew they liked pickles, some found out they liked pickles, and others found out they might not eat a pickle again. Whatever the outcome is, it's always fun to try something new!

Eighth graders dressed up as Greasers and Socs to "rumble". Classes outlined each of the "gangs" characteristics and compared them to each other only to end up realizing they all watched the same sunset🌅✨

Math battles in Mrs. Korf's class today!

Advanced animal science finally got to do their pregnant uterus dissection today, which ends their reproductive unit!

Forreston Grade School practiced our Alice Drill yesterday morning. The first grade classes all barricaded ourselves in our classrooms. The children did a great job staying quiet and following our directions!
