The varsity girls basketball game vs. Lena on Friday, January 23rd is CANCELLED due to weather conditions. The reschedule date has been set for Saturday, February 7th at 1 pm at Forreston High School.
The Orion Wrestling Tournament scheduled for the weekend has been canceled.
The JH Spelling Bee has been rescheduled to January 30th, 8am.
1. What do you look forward to the most during your senior year?
I'm looking forward to having a fun last year of high school with FNL, homecoming, and prom.
I’m also looking forward to preparing for my future throughout the next few months.
2. What activities/athletics are you involved with at FHS?
I am on the dance team, and I am one of the choreographers for our musicals.
3. What are your post-Forreston plans?
I plan to major in Special Education at the elementary level.
4. What advice would you give an incoming freshman?
Don't be afraid to get involved with teams and things going on at school. Just have fun because it goes by fast!












During this week the 8th grade Art class are focusing on one-point perspective hallway drawings. They must use a ruler to get straight lines that all go to a single dot in the center of the paper.


From deep discussions in realistic fiction book clubs to designing virtual math games with multiplication word problems during WIN times — learning is happening in so many fun and meaningful ways!

In Middle School Art:
Sixth Graders took a time machine back and designed their own cave drawing with Chalk pastel.
Seventh Graders are discovering the difference of Radial, Asymmetric and Symmetric balance in their first project of the semester.






FGS 4th and 5th graders are in the process of predicting scores for this weekend's playoff game between the Bears vs. LA Rams. Good luck students & CONGRATULATIONS to Greysen!

I want to get into Rock Valley College so that I can become a licensed Massage therapist.

Pay attention in all your classes so that you wouldn't be behind and get in trouble.

I plan on going to Highland Community College for two years and then transferring to a
university to get my degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Senior Spotlight - Olivia Loppnow
1. What do you look forward to the most during your senior year?
I am looking forward to prom and homecoming.
2. What activities/athletics are you involved with at FHS?
The activities I am in are track and FFA.
3. What are your post-Forreston plans?
I plan on attending a cosmetology school.
4. What advice would you give an incoming freshman?
The advice I would give to the incoming freshmen would be to pay attention because it goes by really fast.

It’s ok not to have everything figured out right away; life’s way more fun when you stop stressing so much about what everyone else is doing.
