GVGS Preschool families had a blast at Block Fest! Family engagement, learning, and play all in one night!
6th grade got to build and eat their edible cells this week! They took their knowledge of cells and organelles to create their unique cells!
We are bringing it back again this year! Apple cider donuts, hot apple cider and apple cider slushies at the homecoming game! Get them early on Friday night before we are sold out! This year all proceeds from this fundraiser are going to our local food pantry in our Harvest for All campaign!
This week 7th grade students are finishing up their Grid self-portraits.
In their self-portraits they are to practice their visual understanding of Elements and principles of design by using shading, color, proportions and pattern.

This week 6th graders researched and made posters of how early humans (Hominin) learned how to survive in their environment.
Seniors in Consumer Ed learned more about the different investment options and played STAX. This game lets them pick investment options over a 20 year period to see how much they can save.
What in the world?!?!? Third graders are learning about continents and oceans!
The golf team won the Salley Weasels Invitational today with a score of 315. Individually, Darin Greenfield was 3rd, Kaden Brown 4th, and Daylan Rahn was 6th.

5th grade became forensic scientists for a day! 🔍 they analyzed mystery metals, testing for physical properties like magnetism, color, reflectivity, and more.
Kindergarten enjoyed their first Agricultural in the Classroom! Ms. Melinda came in to teach our students about the life cycle of apples. Then we got to make an apple tree craft!

In third grade, we're learning how authors use text features to help us understand informational texts. Our students are using their reading kit to identify the text features as we read.

6th graders were able to further their research on plant vs. animal cells by using microscopes. They swabbed the inside of their cheeks to observe animal cells and used a piece of onion to observe plant cells.
Our preschoolers are loving this weather at recess!
