Senior Spotlight - Christian Ryia

1. What do you look forward to the most during your senior year?
The thing I'm looking forward to most my senior year is my last football season.

2. What activities/athletics are you involved with at FHS?
I participated in football, wrestling, track, and band.

3. What are your post-Forreston plans?
I'm going to Highland for 2 years and then transferring to a 4 year college.

4. What advice would you give an incoming freshman?
I would tell incoming freshmen to get good grades early to set a strong GPA foundation.

Staff vs. 8th grade volleyball was on the agenda for today's assembly after IAR testing. Staff took home the win!

Congrats to Kayden Loomis on committing to University of Dubuque to play football in college. Kayden played 4 years and an all-conference running back along with Binkley Memorial Award winner! Congrats Kayden and good luck at UD! Go Birds!

1. What do you look forward to the most during your senior year?
I look forward to graduating and attending Highland Community College.

2. What activities/athletics are you involved with at FHS?
I am involved in FFA and also the Trap Team.

3. What are your post-Forreston plans?
I plan on attending Highland Community College for Agriculture.

4. What advice would you give an incoming freshman?
I would tell them to do FFA because it is fun and you learn a lot. Also, do not be afraid to try new things.

Track is more than just a sport. We are building athletes and leaders. At today's practice, numerous 7th and 8th graders showed off their leadership abilities as they taught and demonstrated different events and skills in Track & Field for our newest tracksters!

The 4th graders started IAR testing this week, and they had 1st grade testing buddies. Mrs. Joy's 1st grade class made good luck posters for Mrs. Genandt's 4th grade class. Today, the 4th graders were able to go down to the 1st grade classrooms and meet their buddies, read them a book, and get to know them better. Everyone had such a great time!

Ms. Genandt's first grade class and Mrs. Hoffman's fourth grade class were testing buddies for state testing. First grade made good luck posters for the fourth grade class and the classes were able to get together to meet their buddy, read a book and play a game!
