Mother's Day sale all week this week at the FFA greenhouse!

Students in the "Introduction to Engineering Design" and "Principles of Engineering" classes took a field trip to NIU today. The Senior Engineering Expo displayed over 50 design projects by university students. Our students had the opportunity to ask designers about their design process and what it is like to be an engineer.

First grade had a fantastic time on their zoo field trip!

Mrs. Meyer's kindergarten class loves dinosaurs! The students spent all week learning about the different types of dinosaurs. On the last day, they got to become paleontologists and dig their very own dinosaur out of its egg! They had so much fun!

The marketing class hosted their annual lemonade stands this week on Thursday and Friday. All proceeds go to a local charity. Thanks to all who came out to support!

On Thursday morning, Civil Engineering students met with Shaun Gallagher to learn more about survey equipment. He showed them his GPS and laser level devices. After that, students used autolevels to complete a control circuit behind the school.

It's a mystery! Fifth graders have spent this week learning about elements of mystery stories and have been hard at work planning and writing their own stories based on an illustration from the book "The Mysteries of Harris Burdick" by Chris Van Allsburg.

Principles of Engineering students are studying the basic rules of electrical circuits this week. Each student has a lab table to measure voltage and current through three resistors in series configuration.

First grade is preparing for their chicks to hatch by making a chick craft.
